“My goal was to make a hip-hop house style that royally wrecks dance floors” – Elijah Soltan.
The quote is the perfect introduction to Elijah Soltan’s new EP Spin Wrld. After 7 years producing and experimenting across genres it seems like Elijah has honed in on a sound that will help catapult his name to the top. The 4 track EP sounds like it would be at home on AC Slater’s Night Bass label with the perfect blend of bouncy house, dark bass and rap influence.
The project kicks off with the deceivingly funky intro of ‘WILD’. The smooth groove is soon replaced by monstrous basslines that’ll have you stomping the dance floor and “getting to work”. ‘Champion’ sees Elijah lending his vocals to the track with some heavy effects to swag it out. The pulsing drops are reminiscent of bass heavyweights like Taiki Nulight and Codes. It’s the perfect blend of house and trap that’s sure to satisfy fans on both sides. The title track comes in next with a head-spinning energy. From the heart-pumping builds and breaks, to the room-rattling low end, ‘Spin Wrld’ is primed to be a club killer. ‘Run It Up’ closes the project with a vibe-rich, more melodic energy. But don’t get it confused, Elijah still brings the bass, punching it up before pulling it back consistently.
Spin Wrld is here to put Elijah Soltan on the map. If he can continue this level of quality on a consistent basis moving forward, we expect big things from the young producer in 2019. Stream below.
