Kellie Allen delivers a stellar vocal performance as emotive keys create deep feels. The stirring energy drifts into a banging trap section that is completely engrossing. But Soule! doesn’t stop there, ‘Like A Drug’ evolves with a club-inspired break before it pulls back as the vocal come in for more. The back half proceeds to ramp up until it’s capped off with a bass heavy finale. Stunning vocals paired with hard-hitting trap can often feel forced or contrived but ‘Like A Drug’ is as natural as it gets. It’s a carefully crafted tumultuous love song that’ll have you addicted.
