They’re back! After two highly successful installments of their compilations, Deadbeats has returned with WE ARE DEADBEATS (Vol. 3), a massive 12-track project featuring both old and new faces.
There’s no denying the label has been favouring heavier bass this past year, and this theme is on full display in their latest compilation. Although the project doesn’t feature any artists from the previous two works, Deadbeats were still able to round up some of the best bass producers from around the world. Artists such as Gentlemens Club, Ducky and SIPPY offer their signature sounds in fresh dubstep arrangements in their tracks, while newcomers such as Mersiv and Jaenga take freeform bass to new heights. Veterans such as um.., Holly and Mr. Bill and SoDown continue to push boundaries in their tracks, while Klutch and Blunts & Blondes will mesmerize you with their wonky sound design.
The project is capped off with some of the most promising producers out right now. First, Vancouver-based Cozway delivers a tribal trap heater alongside Bonnema in ‘Radicals’, further solidifying a signature sound despite remaining unique with each and every production. Finally, Newport Beach-based Rome in Silver flexes his versatility with an unparalleled combination of future bass and drum & bass in ‘Glass’. Yes, you read that correctly.
