Toronto-based producer Krilla has been on an absolute tear this year, quickly carving his own lane in the bass scene with his heavy-hitting originals and bangin’ remixes. In a community where mid-tempo is becoming saturated with more of the same, Krilla often adds a unique touch of trap, electro or dubstep in his works to help them stand out among the rest. Hot off an eclectic remix for Liquid Stranger and Space Jesus, the versatile producer is back with a rework of a classic to cap off his phenomenal year. Tackling Zeds Dead’s hit ‘Collapse’, Krilla stays true to the original essence of the track with Jenna Pemkowski’s cloudy vocals and the catchy piano melody, but adds a unique twist to turn it into a bass banger. Futuristic plucks and wonky synths dominate the drop, and they’re accentuated with punchy fills and a creative manipulation of the word “gone”. The second drop is a melodic dubstep twist that will leave you speechless. Check out Krilla’s ‘Collapse’ remix below!
