Based out of Salt Lake City, Utah the recently established production duo Z & Z aim to furnish the connecting piece between the various sects of electronic music. Possessing a diverse range of musical capability, tracks from the two can begin with a more traditional electronic intro and without warning materialize into a filthy bass-riddled drop due to the sheer versatility that the duo commands.
Their latest release, titled ‘The Climax’ begins with a captivating piano melody, which is speckled ornately with an intergalactic riser, giving the introduction the feeling of an opening to a science fiction film. A native sounding flute blends effortlessly right at the crescendo of the riser as a wave of bass washes over you like hot liquid amber, while the persistence flute pairing and daunting piano fills provide an icy contrast to the massive soundscape.
With a gripping first release to kick off the year, the future for 2019 and beyond is looking nothing but promising for Z & Z, and we look forward to watching the depth of their sound continue to unfold.
