Whether it’s a battle-ready banger such as ‘scars‘ or an ethereal journey such as ‘menace to society‘, the Toronto-based producer has had us mesmerized with each and every release for the past couple of years. Yesterday, the musical genius blessed fans with the third and final track of the ‘menace to society’ series titled ‘Flowers’, a full eight months after ‘wonder‘, the sequel.
‘Flowers’ was well worth the wait. If ‘menace to society’ was having the awareness of a dream-like state and ‘wonder’ was getting completely lost in it, ‘Flowers’ is the epiphanic return to reality. Although still ladened with spirituality, thook evokes sensations of inner strength to materialize the dreamer within. The skilled producer says the track “is about the power and feeling of knowing yourself beyond a shadow of a doubt,” and this feeling is created through a wafture of lush sounds and bodiless essences.
