Culture Shock Sizzles With ‘Take Control’

by Curt Norris

It’s 2019 and Culture Shock is armed with new music. The London based drum & bass maestro filled the last twelve months with some pretty incredible material. He delivered a tune with The Upbeats, the euphoric summer anthem ‘There For You’ and remixes for Camo & Krooked and Au/Ra & Camelphat. If you’ve been anywhere near a D&B night in the last couple of months you will have heard his wicked edit of ‘Panic Room.’ Here is an artist whose calibre never wanes – this year looks set for more success.

First up he drops ‘Take Control’ via Ram Records. It is the fifth track in his Sequence series, which represents his melodically driven, refined production style. This single is primed for the dance floor. Hooking you in from the first moment with soulful female vocals and a pulsating energy, it soon descends into heavier territory. Crisp drums and punchy synths ensure ‘Take Control’ hits the ground running. The vocals shine back through for second time, bringing some anthemic heat to proceedings before the drop comes in for more.

Now out for global release, you can get hold of it here.
