Tchami’s Confession Label Release Saint Punk EP

by Mekabeth

Saint Punk is the latest addition to Tchami’s Confession label and has fans a-stir.

Los Angeles based artist, Saint Punk got his start with music in rock and had been in and out of bands before he started to gravitate towards electronic music. He had dabbled in other aspects of the music industry including videography, photography, and graphic art.  It was not long after creating and releasing electronic bangers with heavy bass focused dance vibes, that Tchami took notice of all Saint Punk and the rest is history.

His latest release is his self titled EP with Confession and it is a doozy of a duo track if ever there was one. Now, with a name like Saint Punk and a dark, ‘leather and chains’ aesthetic, it can only be assumed that things might get filthy. The first track ‘Daddy’ is full of wubs, icy synths, and slick drops into a shufflers playground of bubbly house bounciness. Promises fulfilled it’s fun to feel the cocky vibe of the lyrics against the deep swagger of the beat.

This is grunge house- a dash of punk rebellion, a pinch of hip hop fire, a splash of dubstep, a generous dollop of creamy house, and plenty of what can only be talent to catch the common edge through all those genres. ‘Disko’ is packed with fun and flirty house vibes, it entertains with its deep vocals, quick drops, and beat made to dance to.
