“This track has been in the making for over a year and a half now. We just wanted to make a track together, we didn’t think much of it at first but slowly over time the track grew and went through 4 different versions. The track was really one big experiment, we only worked on the track in person,” LOCA states about the process behind the creation of ‘Awakening’. Great things take time, and these two artists truly created a masterpiece. An epic soundscape is introduced with airy synths and an exquisite piano melody, before the chiming of vocals and punchy percussion lead you into an emotive drop. The ethereal first half is met by a grungier second half, without ever breaking the synchronicity of the work.
