Birthdayy Partyy and Dusty Bits release the catchy yet dark ‘Love Overdose.’
This quick beat banger has a nostalgic feel to it with power-ballad like vocals and emotional synths. The drops are fairly identical but have crystal clear and silky smooth production; it feels like a cascade into the crunchier and darker synth sounds waiting at the bottom. ‘Love Overdose’ show cases a newer type of sounds that is cropping up in the margins of electronic music and this seems to show how they could be creeping to a more central stage. The lyrics “Your love is like a drug and I’ve been taking way too much” are catchy, eerie, and culturally relatable for the times. It’s a fun break beat track to listen to just because it has such a futuristic palette and journey’s through each compartment.
