Prepare For Genre-Defying Madness With Yvng Jalapeño’s ‘Yeah Nah’

by Steph Contant

2019 starts now” are the brisk yet powerful words from one of the fastest rising stars in bass and trap with regards to his latest release. Coming off a breakout year highlighted by infectious originals, insanely catchy remixes and edits, and a recent guest mix and interview with yours truly, Yvng Jalapeño is ready to prove that last year was no fluke. The Australian’s first track of the year titled ‘Yeah Nah’ is both chaotic yet systematic, leaving any listener in bewilderment of his innate productive abilities.

A pulsating wave kicks things off, before quickly being accompanied by energy-building percussion and an insurmountable rise in tension. The hasty addition of vocal samples flips the track into trap madness, where these samples accentuate each other to create an eerie balance between good and evil, staying true to the title’s oxymoron. A short bridge is met by more bass monstrosity, as Yvng Jalapeño pushes the grittiness to another level with metallic stabs and a rumbling sub. With a third and final section that will leave you as breathless as the first two, ‘Yeah Nah’ is bound to make its way through festival sets around the world.

Doing what he does best by refusing to conform to genres, Yvng Jalapeño has set the bar high for bass in 2019. Check out ‘Yeah Nah’ below and grab the free download here.
