‘Fate’ Pulls the Strings in L.U.X’s Latest Release

by A. Samuel Lewis

2018 furnished massive strides in production and technical proficiency for bass devotee L.U.X. Two EPs released via Never Say Die Black Label, an official remix of Ray Volpe’s ‘Showtime’, and a release on the latest Uplink Audio compilation have depicted the voracious style of hybrid-riddim that he totes, generating the necessary momentum to catapult L.U.X into the upper echelon of the dubstep arena.

Weaving components of mystery into his latest release, ‘Fate’ builds upon a sinister introduction, lingering eerily as an ensemble of drums and horns enter the scene. The intensity of the horns escalates as a grim vocal sample unleashes catastrophic surges of uncompromising bass and palpitating synths.

Propelled by a breakaway year of impeccable releases and rampant technical growth, L.U.X looks to capitalize on that impetus in 2019, kicking things into high gear with a heavy hitting Never Say Die Black Label release.
