LAZYKID Displays Artistic Evolution in ‘Void’

by Tony Leonard

Revealing the first song of 2019, LAZYKID presents ‘Void‘ and it is out now on Resurgence Records. Reaching back into the catalog of releases, an early career holds a softer mold of sound and as you scan through them they progressively become more rigid and trap influenced. The evolution of design is shown in this track and brings attention to the beauty of growth. It examines a blend of the earlier future bass sound by the artist with more recent trap structured production. The display of quality and vast sound distinction shines heavy in this track. Furthermore, it possesses the creative potential held by LAZYKID and now is the time to start following for future releases.

‘Void’ takes us on a meditative journey with a comforting hum vibe that fills the atmosphere and carries throughout the first drop. LAZYKID is able to facilitate a consistent energy with a clean and somber introduction. An ominous build carries into a melodic trap symphony that is filled with bells and tightly placed claps. The snares are then given room to breathe and thrive to bring full attention to their inescapable life. Being able to provide a place of tranquility while simultaneously holding an underlying true trap foundation is the construction behind this song. This only being release number five, it is worth the time to check out the other four releases and witness the transformation for yourself to follow the story. Allow this song to let you slip into the void of a relaxed soundscape and tune out the chaotic sound pollution of the world around you. Just close your eyes and listen.
