PREMIERE: Allen Mock Crafts Experimental Masquerade Within Tisoki’s ‘Simulation’

by A. Samuel Lewis

Reigning from the distant metropolis of Tokyo, Allen Mock’s ambitious experimental remixes have paved way for a tremendous career for the talented young producer. Weaving his signature dark energy within the likes of ‘High Breed’ by tokey and ‘Sahara’ by Soltan, Mock possesses an extraordinary talent for discovering riveting, insatiable tweaks to blend his own flavor into any track he approaches.

In an effort to preserve authenticity, Mock demands that aspects of the original remain intact, “I always start with finding what I personally enjoyed most about the song and begin building from there,” he shares regarding the initial stages of his creative process. “For ‘Simulation’, I really liked the one-shots and the melodic fills in the drop, so I made sure to keep that aspect of the drop in an effort to maintain the structure of the track,” he continues.

Even still, the inspiration from Tisoki and the original track are uncanny, and Mock utilizes his aspirations in an effort to remain motivated and diligent within his own craft, “I think it’s important to be inspired by a variety of music that helps you to push personal boundaries in your production. I love the sound design of Tisoki’s synths, his style really intrigues me and encouraged me to experiment with sound design on my own synths,” he discloses.

As his signature style continues to unfold, Allen Mock is shaping up to be a promising sound within the hybrid-trap genre and we look forward to learning more of his craft and vision as the year carries on.
