After capping off 2018 with a bang with the soothing ‘Blue Crush’ and the highly-demanded ‘Play This In The Club‘, Juelz is back with another whirlwind of emotions in the form of ‘Closure’ alongside Ruby Chase. This track marks the first single from the Vancouver-based artist’s debut EP titled Shanghai Nights, out on Fool’s Gold Records in May, setting the bar high for what is to come. Weaving flawlessly between genres as he does so consistently, Juelz layers Ruby Chase’s poignant vocals over an ethereal soundscape from the get-go to quickly captivate your attention. A hasty build up leads into a club-ready trap drop, which uses familiar sounds heard in ‘Driftt‘ but in a unique arrangement that is both mean and fresh. Demonstrating his musical prowess, Juelz then eases back into the emotive Ruby Chase vocals, before again launching the track into euphoric bliss.
