It seems like forever since DJ Snake has put out a quality banger. In his early days, the Parisian producer consistently put out heaters that would tear a crowd to pieces, but recent pop inclinations have taken over the talented producer’s repertoire. Nonetheless, avid DJ Snake fans know that he is sitting on a few gems, notably a collaboration with both Skrillex and Zomboy. To keep bass listeners at ease until their eventual release, DJ Snake has finally unleashed another highly-anticipated work alongside Eptic titled ‘SouthSide’.
Belgian overlord Eptic is a Never Say Die mainstay known for his unique robotic signature that can easily be identified in a sea of generic dubstep, and this influence is ever-present in his latest collaboration with DJ Snake. ‘SouthSide’ can be described as the hybrid child of DJ Snake’s ‘Propaganda’ and Eptic’s ‘Say Less’ remix. The highly reverberated introduction is reminiscent of the former track, while the Belgian’s sound dominates throughout the drops. Sure to become a festival favourite this summer, ‘SouthSide’ plays on the versatile trap influence from DJ Snake and Eptic’s original, heavy-hitting synths and samples. Don’t miss it below.
