With warping synths and a sinister undertone heard in most of his works, Saka is growing into a signature sound that is sure to send anyone’s mind into the deep end, and his newest track titled ‘Anima Sola’ that we are ecstatic to premiere today does just that.
“Anima sola means lonely soul. The tune is about heartbreak, being okay with being alone, and not seeking validation in other people. I’ve sort of realized that if you want to make really dope music, you have to be okay with being incredibly lonely,” Saka explains about his latest. A reflection of his recent experiences, ‘Anima Sola’ is a vulnerable presentation of life’s realities. “Whether it be my hearing loss or heartbreak, I’m going through a period of intense inspiration right now and I feel like it’s because I’m forcing myself to embrace solitude and confront my feelings and thoughts,” he adds. Refusing to hold back, Saka’s recent outpour of emotions makes itself heard in ‘Anima Sola’.
A dystopian soundscape kicks things into motion, with an eerie melody and robotic samples depicting a broken-down metropolis ravaged by an otherworldly creature. A hasty build-up leads listeners to a distorted, apocalyptic realm dominated by an impeccable combination of contorted basses and spine-chilling fills. ‘Anima Sola’ is a relentless offering of Saka’s evolving musical genius, as the four-plus minute track only offers brief breaks in energy before the talented producer surprises you with chaotic madness over and over again.
