Saint Punk Blends Gritty Trap And House In Eclectic ‘Guttah’

by Steph Contant

Hot off his self-titled debut Saint Punk EP on Tchami’s esteemed Confession label, Saint Punk is back with another hybrid banger today titled ‘Guttah’. First emerging out of nowhere with two bouncy tracks that can turn any dance floor into a shuffler’s playground, the LA-based producer seems to have found his niche in blending gnarly bass and G-house with heavy-hitting trap undertones. ‘Guttah’ is a perfect embodiment of this style, as the producer introduces the genre-defying track with a heavy bass line and a punchy G-house vocal. He quickly leads listeners into the depths of house music with rumbling synths and a supernatural groove. The most surprising section of the track hits around the 75 second mark, where Saint Punk flips the script into a trap melter with blaring sirens in a flawless change in pace. Always keeping you on your toes, the emerging producer has created yet another bop that is sure to make itself heard in clubs and festivals in the coming months. Don’t miss ‘Guttah’ below.
