Skrillex and Boys Noize Reunite In Rave-Ready ‘Turn Off The Lights’

by Steph Contant

It has been over five years since the legendary Dog Blood project comprised of Skrillex and Boys Noize have released new music. While active in their respective spheres of music and beyond, it seems both have been too busy to come together to work on their innovative joint project. However, with recent announcements of the band’s big reunion at the likes of BUKU Music + Art Project and Miami Music Week, many were left dissecting these live sets in search of new unreleased bangers. With all the hype recently revolving around Dog Blood, it came as no surprise when Skrillex announced a new track earlier this week, out today.

As mentioned, this newest release titled ‘Turn Off The Lights’ is their first since 2013. Despite this large time gap, it seems both producers have been able to channel their inner industrial raver that fueled their music in the early days of the Dog Blood project to unleash a genre- and decade-defying bop. Drawing inspiration from breakbeat, garage, electro and bass house, ‘Turn Off The Lights’ is a high-energy, dance floor-ready heater sure to have old rave enthusiasts feeling nostalgic and new electronic music lovers craving more. Don’t miss it below.
