London-based producer, JAVAX has been blessed with infinite exposure to the world of art and music living in one of the major melting pots for creative lifeblood in the United Kingdom. Drinking in each experience absolutely, these experiences have begun to leave a lasting impacting, helping craft the mold from which his insatiable uptempo trap style has taken shape.
“London is a place you truly only begin to understand through experience…One of the things I love the most is people are just who they are, take it or leave it. That’s something I’ve definitely taken into consideration with this project, becoming more confident in myself to experiment, push the boundaries, and most of all trust my own instincts,” JAVAX reflects regarding the imprint that the diversity of living in London has afforded him.
Further exercising this bout of confidence, ‘Take It’ demonstrates a leap into uncharted waters for JAVAX, wielding a fearless sense of authenticity the track begins with the ominous tolling of a bell tower, which alternates crisply with echoing strands of horns. A wretched vocal sample causes a sudden stir in tempo, building the energy of the track to a peak before an unnerving break gives way to a cascade of incisive synths.
“Variety is key, I want the listener to remain engaged for as long as possible and it’s up to me to keep them occupied. Introducing unique sounds and sudden breaks tucked within unsuspecting, comfortable soundscapes create those ‘wow’ moments of a track, and that’s something I bear closely in mind as I continue to shape my signature sound.”
