Adelanto’s Moore Kismet has quickly become a household name with regards to the frightening talent that the new generation of aspiring producers wields with ease. In spite of all of his accomplishments, the taste of success has only invigorated Kismet’s creative prowess, furthering his discipline as he squeezes every last ounce of determination into his latest solo release ‘Tokyo’.
‘Tokyo’ is a fun little project that initially started as a live edit of ‘Tokyo Drift’, which I later expanded into an original after creating the drop, rearranging the melody, and giving it a HEAVY post-processing treatment. The track itself demonstrates how efficient my creative process is becoming in terms of conceptualizing new ideas and polishing old ones, which is simply a result of persistence and repetition.
That same level of determination affords Kismet the ability to discover minimal tweaks and slight rearrangements to enhance a good track, launching it into the trajectory of a masterpiece. “I usually like adding glitchy bass fills within the drop, as well as chopping up the main drop sounds and resampling them further to create new sounds and variate the following phrase of the drop. I don’t do much in terms of mixing and mastering, but those added subtle details really help fill up the track, allowing there to be no empty space,” he reveals regarding the veteran techniques that give each track of his a clean, robust flavor.
