Tripzy Leary has a knack for telling a story, both through his words and his music. The last time we caught up with him, he gave us an in-depth explanation into the backstory behind his Space Migration LP where he elaborated on the journey to a higher state of mind within cyberspace. In eager anticipation of the next chapter of this story, Tripzy Leary has been busy touring the US, while continuously sharing originals such as ‘GIVE2FUX‘ and remixes along the way to keep fans at ease.
With all of this going on in the talented producer’s life, we figured it was due time to reconnect with him. In addition, Tripzy Leary delivers a thirty-minute guest mix, where he holds true to his storytelling persona by giving the mix another well thought out narrative, building on the one depicted in Space Migration. The introduction is sure to peak your curiosity, and the rest is just as mesmerizing. The mix is a cohesive journey through wild bass, not just a bunch of random tracks put together with no meaning. How was the first leg of your US tour? What was your favourite part?
It was amazing, got see a lot of California and Minnesota, meet a lot of friendly folks who were very kind and helpful. I think being in LA, well the Redondo Beach Area, was the best time of my life, it felt nice to have made it that far.
Did you manage to hop in the studio with American friends? If so, can you tell us about any upcoming collabs?
I had the chance to spend some time in LA with Murkury from North Carolina, guy’s got a lot of great tunes and we vibed hard. We didn’t manage to get anything done but I see work for us in the future.
You’ve also been doing some live streams of yourself working on tracks. What prompted you to start doing this? What do you enjoy the most about it?
Yeah I’ve been loving the live streams, great quality, it helps me push my projects forward when I have an audience, sometimes when I’m alone I will fux with a sound forever haha.
Space Migration has had a few months to settle and people have certainly hand-picked some favourites from the project for daily listening/playlists. Looking back, what’s your favourite song from the album? Why?
I’d have to say ‘Access Granted’. It’s such a unique different approach. It’s definitely ahead of its time.
Looking forward, how is your Planet Mycelium EP coming along? What are you most excited about with this project?
It’s been quite inspiring these past few months, this is where I draw the energy from for this new EP. The songs are included in this mix. I’m excited to bring folks on a cosmic journey with more theatrics. On the journey to Valhalla Music Festival. Planet Mycelium is a preview for what is to come. Maybe another album ;)
Last time we talked, you gave us a nice backstory behind Space Migration. How will Planet Mycelium build upon that story?
After the Space Migration, we’re headed back to my planet called Mycelium, a very trippy environment that I want to deliver sonically. We have a few stops on the way through this EP. I feel like we’ll finally reach our destination by 2020 and I will have a fresh album to kick off the next decade!

I start off with the Planet Mycelium EP, into Wakaan flavors, my good friends Abelation & Pigeon Hole, MYTHM. Remixes of mine including CharlestheFirst, ‘Access Granted’ VIP, and future music I want to release mixed with favorite picks. I finish off with some house and end it with GIVE2FUX.
