Point.Blank Furthers His Heavy Dubstep Signature In ‘The Serpent’ EP

by Steph Contant

A pioneer in the heavy dubstep scene, Point.Blank has been refining is production skills for the greater part of this decade to become one of Europe’s most prominent faces in the bass realm. The Belgian producer has become a Buygore staple since signing back in 2014, releasing tracks on both the main imprint and the freshblood sister-label on a consistent basis. A couple of weeks ago, the talented artist unleashed the monstrous The Serpent EP, and after streaming it on repeat since its release, we decided it was too good not to share.

A massive collaboration with Jkyl& Hyde kicks off the project, where distinct style come together to form an Earth-shattering melter. Point.Blank’s piercing signature synths shine overtop the wonky stabs from Jkyl & Hyde, creating a gnarly bass banger that uniquely stands out among a sea of saturated dubstep. The project’s title track follows and sees Point.Blank upping the aggressiveness in the best way possible. An elongated build-up creates an insurmountable apex in tension before the Belgian unleashes a brutal offering of gut-wrenching sounds and repeated pulsating frequencies sure to send any festival crowd into the depths of hell. Capping off The Serpent EP is ‘Stop That’, a quintessential Point.Blank track reminiscent of ‘HOODREP‘ through its masterfully-produced high-pitched screeches.

It’s safe to say that The Serpent EP is sure to become a playlist favourite for heavy dubstep enthusiasts. Check it out below.
