The protracted process of trial and error over a period of over 7 years has afforded CLYDE an uncanny perception for experimentation, discovering avant-garde methods of production that provide a creative edge and perceivable polarity, allowing him the ability to rehash and polish denatured samples as principal components in his tracks.
“My main production style is ‘throw and see what sticks,’ so there was a lot of noodling before I came to find the loop. I spent a few hours messing around and creating with a granulator effect on a sample that had been audibly destroyed and it was kind of just like love at first sight,” CLYDE shares regarding some of the under the hood work that went into his latest release ‘Wear It Out.’
Further divulging the expanse of his production talent, CLYDE utilizes a singular strand of bristly synths inspired from the Codemaster’s video game Micro Machines to unravel his latest sensational experimental masterpiece. The first drop of ‘Wear It Out’ combines leaden synths with a hefty bassline and sinister digital detailing, before a gripping analog-inspired build lets loose a bewildering granular skirmish.
“If you mean what did the selections of sounds and movements for this track look like then I’d say…hectic”.
