The track is a testament to Cashmere Cat’s mastery some seven years after it’s release. The mixture of casual, listener-friendly vocals with brain-bending production create a duality that would become Cashmere’s signature. Despite being labelled as an edit, this one is so much more. From the icy strings, to the ADHD-inspired builds, to the decadent drops, this is a work of art. Sprinkle in a few 2 Chainz adlibs for good measure and this one is truly timeless. Reliving this has me imagining what it would sounds like if Cashmere Cat made a return to rap bootlegs…one can dream right?
