PREMIERE: Ethan Glass Radiates Precursive Vibrancy in ‘Bungee Gum’

by A. Samuel Lewis

2019 is my year of the dark arts, ‘Voodoo’ is my ode to really rave-focused dark, dancefloor music. You can expect heavier, darker, stronger music coming up to round out this year as well,” Ethan Glass shares in anticipation of his forthcoming EP, which capitalizes on ominous symbolism and spectral undertones.

Aptly acquainted to the odious verge of electronic music, the gifted producer made a vexed entrance to the scene just over 3 years ago with the release of ‘Hail Satan’, in which he first divulged the shadowy, inventive nature of his craft. Revisiting the track in a modern light, the recently untethered VIP ensures that Glass’s progressive audible expedition is as alive now as ever before.

Mimicking the tangible properties of rubber and gum, Glass concocts resounding depth in ‘Bungee Gum,’ from his forthcoming Voodoo EP. “The whole lead riff was created with mutable clouds at 100% wet, with tons of CV going in to create the stuttering and pitch shifts,” the insatiable audio panning bubbles fiendishly before imperial effluxes of granular bass vacillate rampantly.
