The two artists have changed the game with their forward-thinking tunes and have ascended to the level of certified trap titans. Their new collaboration, ‘Awakening,’ is another prime example of how they continue to push the boundaries of the trap genre to new heights.
‘Awakening’ begins as a somber chord progression with classic trap drums, that is until the two titans unleash a hypnotizing, wavy drop full of thick sub bass and unique leads that glide it along. The second drop is where the real trap influence becomes apparent, with a lead synth that mirrors the beloved brass stabs in early trap music, but UZ & Hucci evolve it into the wonky sound that we have come to love in 2019.
