PREMIERE: Dropwizz and The Kngdom Extract Unearthly Bass in ‘Karma’

by Tony Leonard

Dropwizz and Savagez are known for their melodic trap collaborations. Today they are back with a newborn alliance that pairs Dropwizz with The Kngdom (Savagez new alias). With previous collaborations, such as their remix of ‘Swipe‘ and their remix of Martin Garrix’s ‘Now That I’ve Found You,‘ breaking millions of plays on YouTube it was only natural to create a brand new listening experience. With Dropwizz deriving a melody curated by The Kngdom, it was known that this track would be unparalleled to their previous work.

As artists we strongly believe in what goes around comes around and the cycle of cause and affect, thus we decided to give this track the title ‘Karma,’” explains Dropwizz.

Searching for a new vibe, ‘Karma’ presents an uneasy mood that progresses into an eerie trap drop. Keeping a minimalistic arrangement, the noticeable bells and heavy drums supply the intro with a cinematic feature before the 808’s violently subdue your brain and toss you into the depths of wickedness. “This track is in a whole new lane compared to most of our previous releases together,” says Dropwizz, which is an understatement to the level of excellence in production on this track. The clean mix down provides for a very cohesive listening experience that paves a beginning, middle, and end due to the natural chemistry between these producers. “We decided to switch up the second drop and bring in some riddim influence to keep it interesting,” Dropwizz continues. This bestows a distinct perspective from your typical forward thinking trap songs. Having so much prior experience on projects together, ‘Karma’ truly showcases the progression of the work by this team and gives a slight insight to what we may be able to expect in the future.
