COFFIN Returns To Bass House Roots In ‘Racks’

by Steph Contant

Since announcing the change in alias from FVCKDIVMONDS to COFFIN back in late May, the versatile producer has slowly been building momentum. Although capable of producing various types of bass music, one common theme in all of COFFIN’s originals is an underlying sombre atmosphere. His first release under the new alias titled ‘Zone 6‘ is no exception, and now the Atlanta-based artist returns to his bass house roots in ‘Racks.’

Reversing the roles by giving fans a gift on his birthday, COFFIN displays why he is considered one of the most consistent secret weapons in the gritty house scene. Devilish soundscapes and a quintessential high-BPM house tempo kick off the track, before hints of added ruggedness are added until the climax is reached. As the drop hits, granular synths and wonky fills shine at the forefront of the oddly danceable track. Repeat this recipe twice with a touch of freshness in the second half and you have the club banger that is ‘Racks.’ Don’t miss it below!
