XTALS has been one of our favorite producers to watch recently. Steadily releasing track after track, he has accumulated one filthy discography of unique, experimental bass music bangers, but his recent release on Saturate Records explores a more melodic side of XTALS that we haven’t seen.
‘HOLO’ begins with a hypnotizing chime and an ethereal soundscape that evokes a wondrous, dreamlike sense of emotion. XTALS builds up tension with a change in atmosphere and unleashes a glitchy, syncopated, emotionally charged drop that sends shivers down your spine. ‘HOLO’ is a beautifully crafted track that really flexes XTALS talents and innovativeness.
