Good Times Ahead, formerly known as GTA, are no strangers to innovation. The duo out of Miami have been at the forefront of electronic music over the past decade. Being one of the original projects that truly established trap on the scene and as a genre, Good Times Ahead have continued to show us their creativity by branching out and giving us masterful takes on other genres. On ‘Waffle House,’ the dynamic duo team up with fellow trap legend, Flosstradamus, to give us their take on house.
At the start of ‘Waffle House’ we are given the foundation of a robust house beat filled with rattling kicks and piercing open hi-hats. As we approach the thirty second mark, many different ingredients find their way into the track from the vocal sample giving us the title of the track to meticulously placed metronome ticks used to fill the spaces between the skillfully designed sub that carries the melody.
