Recently, New Orleans powerhouse duo, Jacob Hoerner and Michael Pearson, better known as sfam, released a track from deep within their archives on their Facebook group ‘sfamily’. ‘Lights pls’ just goes to show that even in their infancy, sfam is a force to be reckoned with. They continue to prove time and time again that they are the pinnacle of sound design and track structure. It features dark and suspenseful build ups and unique soundscapes, that leaves listeners baffled and wanting more. ‘Lights pls’ opens up with dark and eerie sounds that progressively pick up tempo to a drop that more so rolls in rather than dropping. With sounds organized in such a way that’s almost dizzying, sfam prove once again they are taking experimental trap to entirely new levels.
