Possessing a style that is almost too diverse to categorize, Canada’s Vincent boasts a nearly infinite range of production that has allowed him to traverse the rough terrain of trap music, under former alias XVII, as well as the more palatable ambiance of future bass with equal proficiency.
While these two worlds seemed to have previously existed independently, ‘Falling, Fading’ depicts a riveting collision of styles, in which raw emotion and turbulent energy subsist in harmony. Soft piano chords and a soothing vocal accompaniment paint a dream-like introduction to the track, which Vincent contrasts exquisitely with thundering percussion and vicious, dynamic synths.
“For everyone that’s been waiting for something heavy, this is my old sound attempted years after an unintentional hiatus from bangers,” Vincent confesses with fans on SoundCloud.
