NGHTMRE & ZHU Collide In Anthemic ‘Man’s First Inhibition’

by Steph Contant

Although no stranger to making hits himself, ZHU‘s natural banger-making abilities truly come to light when collaborating with fellow stars. From Skrillex, to NERO, to Ekali, the mysterious producer has worked with some of the best, and today he adds to that list with a hefty offering alongside NGHTMRE. Electronic music fans have dreamt of a clash between these two titans for ages, and ‘Man’s First Inhibition,’ also featuring Kidd Keem, makes these dreams a reality.

An eerie, almost Stranger Things-inspired melody introduces the track, before ZHU’s distinctive vocals chime in to intensify the sensations that something big is afoot. As the track progresses, the influence from both producers is strong without ever clashing, from ZHU’s quintessential foreboding melodies to NGHTMRE’s more aggressive, trap-leaning sound. This pull between a relaxed vibe and an energetic anthem grows until the drop hits and all hell breaks loose, with ‘Man’s First Inhibition’ earning its titled as a festival heater and Kidd Keem’s verse only adding fuel to the fire. Fans of both ZHU and NGHTMRE are in for a treat with this one, so dive in below and let us know what you think!
