Rome in Silver Returns to QGR with ‘Tempest’

by Zach Bayha

Rome in Silver is one of the most versatile producers that we discovered in 2018. With an absolutely eclectic discography, featuring 90’s throwback flips, like ‘Not My Problem,’ lush house bops, and dark trap influenced tracks, Rome in Silver is constantly evolving his sound. The up-and-coming producer is back today with another release on Quality Goods Records, titled ‘Tempest’.

‘Tempest’ begins with a quick drum beat and ominous bass growls that give way for an ethereal atmosphere. Rome in Silver bends the track into a gritty, bouncy fusion of IDM, trap and juke with unique stabs and distorted vocal samples that is sure to make listeners heads knock. Mixing a beautiful contrast of lush, other-worldly soundscapes with the rough, wonky drop is something Rome in Silver achieves flawlessly in his productions, and ‘Tempest’ hits the mark.

With just a little of 2019 left, we hope we get to hear more from Rome in Silver. Check out ‘Tempest’ below.
