Jon Casey & Blake Skowron Drop Bangin’ ‘Wet Napkin’ Remix

by Eli Dickes

Jon Casey joins forces with Chicago’s very own Blake Skowron to knock our heads back with this heavy new trap remix of Ray Volpe’s ‘Wet Napkin.’ Hailing from South Africa, Jon Casey has been charging the bass scene with his electrifying sense of rhythm and production skills for a while now. From UZ’s Quality Goods Records to RL Grimes elite label Sable Valley, to a huge new sample pack available on Splice, Jon Casey’s tracks are finally gaining the recognition they deserve. Holding it down in the Windy City, Blake Skowron plays no games when it comes to making high quality music. Earning himself appearances on bitbird radio, two Splice sample packs, and interview spots on NestHQ, Blake is headed for the top, where he belongs.

Grabbing us by the balls right off the bat, a super catchy synth riff followed by a huge crunchy bass patch, Casey & Skowron reset the tone for this track in a spicy new way, letting us know that our necks are about to hurt in roughly 3 minutes. Drum and Bass drum breaks build us up into a massive drop section of impressively intricate sound design and drum work. Insanely chunky 808’s and fluttering hi hats flow throughout the track until the breakdown makes its entrance. Leading us into the spicy second drop, these two trap heavy weights crack down on the sound spectrum for the second half of the second drop with minimalistic poppy synths and crunchy reese riffs. The track inevitably winds down by blending the drop leads and the intro synths together before jogging to a stop. You definitely will not want to miss this track, as its more than likely to furl your eyebrows and bring your bass face into full force.
