Emphasizing all things trap and discovering quality talent that appropriately deserves the recognition, they are single-handedly making the trap scene thrive. “All the big labels were going into a pop direction to get playlist placements so you know, I felt like we needed a new cohesive visual identity trying to do something different,” UZ told us in a recent FUXWITHIT interview. QGR has achieved exactly this by curating different elements of releases and fan interaction such as their compilations, mixes, LP series, QGR house parties, Facebook fan group and much more. With this said, we are now witnessing the first installment of their brand new release series titled Quality Treats. To kick things off, the duo of DJ Ride and ELEX partner once again with the release of ‘Stay Away.’
DJ Ride, two time IDA scratch world champion, and ELEX, of Crystals and IY Collective, team up for yet another impeccable collaboration. Seeing support from labels and brands such as Red Bull, Nest HQ, and Run The Trap just to name a few, there was no better pair to jump start this chapter. ‘Stay Away’ is the epitome of electronic trap music, containing captivating percussive leads and 808’s that hit harder than the recession in 2008. DJ Ride and ELEX demonstrate the caliber of their artistic abilities in the underground scene with this track.
“We want to establish ourselves as a pillar independent label in the trap electronic scene,” the QGR boss expanded.
