PREMIERE: bd hbt & leet Collide For Aptly Named ‘The Big Festival Banger’

by Alex Bell

Experimental trap wizards Sam Delgado and Harrison McCord, also known by bd hbt and leet, have had absolutely tremendous 2019 campaigns. McCord released his stellar In Light of Recent Darkness LP just a month ago, and Delgado has had releases on some of the biggest bass labels in the game. Today, they’ve pooled their collective creative juices to bring fans a release through Phuture Collective with a title so fitting even a tailor would be impressed.

‘The Big Festival Banger’ is the epitome of next level hi-fi sound that crushes on a large system. Showcasing crisp, dense sound coupled with cognitive stimulating arrangements, this is a song with high probability of turning listeners into whirling dervishes. Much like the age old question of “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” fans probably wonder if these two set out with the intention of making a song around the name, or if the name came after it was created. Delgado explains, “the song was named after it was made. Harrison actually came up with the title and it was the perfect balance between comedy and our serious intentions behind the track.” Even though the title was made for fun, this is not a song to play around with. Fans have been instructed to use two seat belts while driving when rinsing this track as severe cases of whiplash have been known to occur.

With a fantastic 9 month regime down in the books, Delgado reflected “2019 was a wild year for me as a whole, but I felt like through this journey I have really found myself as a musician, and I have 0 plans for slowing down.” 3 months are still left in this already incredible year, and with the prowess these two artists have shown, anything could still be possible.
