Up and coming LA-based producer, James Campbell, aka 2ToneDisco, is known for his upbeat, DDR influenced tracks. With releases on labels such as Buygore and Play Me Records, 2ToneDiscos’ blend of anime, video games, and EDM is extremely unique, and he’s smashed through Asia because of it. With shows in Tokyo and the 2018 Anime Expo, 2ToneDisco is poised to bring his energetic tracks stateside, starting with a new track, ‘Fukura’.
While 2ToneDisco normally produces high energy pop music, he flips everything we knew about him on ‘Fukura’. Beginning with an ominous atmosphere, and a hypnotizing alarm-like noise, 2ToneDisco allows the darkness to invade his track. ‘Fukura’ breaks down into a hard, gritty bass banger, with plenty of fills and breaks to give you a breath from the overwhelming intensity. 2ToneDisco seriously flexes his sound design on ‘Fukura’, taking us into a depth that we were unaware he possessed. We hope to hear more tracks like this from 2ToneDisco as it will always be a welcome surprise.
