Nestled away in Ozark, Arkansas’ infamous Mulberry Mountain, the first installment of Wakaan Music Festival in 2019 is shaping up to be an intimate annual congregation for enthusiasts of the experimental fringe of electronic bass music. Timed on the cusp of a necessary cooling off period for the scorching summer months of Arkansas, the 3rd through the 6th of October, will allow a combination of sun-filled afternoons and temperate evenings to ensure an environment that is ripe for the occasion.
Speaking volumes to the impact and determination of the entire Wakaan Records movement comes a lineup devoid of weak links entirely. Centered upon a vision for freeform soundscapes, the roster for the 2019 installment of Wakaan Music Festival caters to enthusiasts at each end of the bass spectrum, including but certainly not limited to two separate performances from Wakaan founder and experimental bass maestro Liquid Stranger, Champagne Drip, Conrank, Digital Ethos, LUZCID, and Mersiv. Even catering to enthusiasts of the more immersive trance-style with artists such as KOAN Sound, Russ Liquid, and the Zebbler Encanti Experience, the first inaugural Wakaan Festival is equipped to be an all-encompassing, intimate gathering with a diverse music offering.
In addition to a diverse offering of mainstage excitement, the festival will also showcase late-night takeovers from Sub.Mission, Sermon Nation, and Spicy Bois to maintain a seamless transition from daytime festivities to nighttime debauchery, sponsored with the full force and amplification of the coveted Jaenga Bus to ensure crisp, clean sound that will extend deep into each evening.
If there’s anything to be sure about, it’s that there will most assuredly be top-tier quality music and shenanigans aplenty at Mulberry Mountain the first weekend of October. With daily lineups in the rearview and specific set times on the verge of being revealed, now is the time to act!
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to experience first-hand the immersive environment of Ozark’s Mulberry Mountain and the music and art-centric community provided by Wakaan Records and the festival constituents.
