Newcomer longstoryshort Impresses With Heavy House ‘Believe’

by Steph Contant

Emerging out of nowhere at the beginning of this year, longstoryshort has earned a slew of support in recent times through his innovative take on house music. His debut The Preface EP released back in April set the stage for what to expect from the mysterious producer, and ‘Let You Go‘ further established what is quickly becoming his signature sound. What can be described as a mixture of Topi and Deathpact with an added unique, melodic touch, longstoryshort’s tracks always provide high-octane, heart-racing energy.

On Friday, the up-and-coming producer released yet another heater titled ‘Believe’ that adds to his short yet impressive repertoire. An eerie backdrop is accompanied by a repeated vocal sample in the brief introduction, before longstoryshort wastes no time unleashing robotic bass mayhem. Crunchy synths, crisp percussion and unorthodox arrangements shouldn’t sound so cohesive, yet longstoryshort meshes them all together to form an oddly danceable track. Fresh bass house is difficult to encounter these days, but longstoryshort has delivered with ‘Believe.’

You’ve got to believe in something, why not believe in me.” We certainly ‘Believe’ in the talented producer, and so should you. Don’t miss it below and grab the free download here!
