Riding the wave of a truly breakout year, Calcium is showing no signs of slowing down. The same can be said about PEEKABOO, who has seen an immense outpour of support on releases such as his Wrecking Ball EP and the more recent ‘Colossal.’
In an unexpected yet very welcome surprise, the two talented producers have teamed up to unleash a wild single on Wakaan titled ‘HANDS UP.’ The track is exactly what you would imagine a collaboration between PEEKABOO and Calcium would sound like, but even goes beyond those expectations. The introduction is looming and threatening, with supernatural effects driving the mood before Calcium’s signature percussion comes into play. As the opening progresses, a brief build up leads listeners into a cataclysm of bass, where the wonky synths from PEEKABOO and the guttural chainsaw stabs from Calcium compliment each other perfectly.
