Few artists have a resounding signature sound on par with that of TroyBoi. In some cases it takes a mere few seconds of hearing a new track to know it has to come from the production legend. While his recent work has proven heavier and more experimental, he’s still never lost what makes him so special. That being said, longtime fans are in for a treat, as his new single ‘The Truth’ is classic TroyBoi bounce. From the the pitched down “yeahs,” to the uplifting synth builds and wonky off-kilter drops, this one packs all the sounds that first made us fall in love with TroyBoi (think ‘O.G.’ & ‘The Messenger’). With a vocal sample that sounds like it’s taken from a Televangelist, the track balances a religious overtone with a braggadocios balance.
