Hot off the release of his new EP Voices, So Sus returns with an impressive collaboration alongside Shöckface. Both artists have been making major waves independently in the bass scene, so seeing them come together sets expectations high. Opening with a rich and brooding soundscape, subtle elements like rattles and distorted vocals help to set the scene. It’s a foggy night with a roaring glow in the distance. As you began to get closer to the glimmer things begin to come into focus. A fire burns cobalt blue as golden human-like beings circle around it. Metallic and animalistic masks glean as their bodies gyrate to wonky waves of bass. The intensity subsides as the fog rolls in once more and tribal drums synchronize with your heart beat. The previous calm begins to unsettle before breaking into a full out bout of violence. It’s a savage scene that’s mesmerizing and enthralling but short lived.
