Good ol’ southern bass maestros Mitch Draper and Andre Waguespack, or Tvboo and Klutch respectively, have been separately waging campaigns of sound wave warfare in recent years. Klutch first amassed critical acclaim from a string of wildly successful remixes three years ago, with his rendition of Beethoven’s ‘Fur Elise’ garnering roughly 650,000 streams on SoundCloud alone. Tvboo is a man of many talents, masterfully crafting weird and heavy bass music with the utmost excellence, while also rising as a stand-up comedian for the electronic music scene, poking fun at all the nuances and traditions prevalent in bass music culture. Now, they’ve put their heads together to bring fans ‘Prophet,’ an audible hoedown being released on Music High Court that we’ve had the pleasure of premiering here at FUXWITHIT.
Klutch & TVBOO shine as they both contribute rap vocals on top of adding thick, crunchy bass lines. Incorporating the more traditional stylings of dubstep that’s more Klutch leaning, each drop has several distinct parts, each building off of the last successively. This track only gets better the deeper you go, with the latest drop being intensely mania-inducing, sure to cause a ruckus. With Klutch just releasing a Halloween mix on Deadbeats and TVBOO asserting his dominance as a jack-of-all-trades while also landing inordinate amounts of righteous gigs, these are two artists to keep a keen eye on in 2020 for sure. For now, make sure to check out ‘Prophet’ for yourself below and here.
