Hot off his collaborative single with Dabow, the aptly titled ‘Banga,’ Jon Casey returns with the second release from his upcoming debut album Flora & Fauna. ‘TV Room’ bridges the gap between the project’s two sides. The hard-hitting drums embody fauna while its beautiful melodies colour it up and bring in lush flora. It’s the perfect sample for what his incredible upcoming album has in store. An 8-bit inspired introduction will have you drifting through the clouds in a Super Mario looking world. Soft blue hues and bright yellows are painted throughout the soundscape while heavy-hitting bass and an underlying trap energy punch things up. It’s future leaning with just the right amount of knock to make it an undeniable banger.
With Flora & Fauna out on Dome Of Dome on Friday, we had to ask Jon for a sneak peek as to what we can expect. “D I V E R S I T Y! This project is somewhat out of my comfort but contains everything I love. I love music and I would never want an artist to be confined to one area in their brand. Explore, experiment and HAVE FUN! <3,” Casey tells us. Having had the chance to listen to the project in full, I can confirm that getting outside of his comfort zone definitely paid off. Stream ‘TV Room’ below and get ready for Flora & Fauna.
