It was about time we had some more Avelino to be blasting and it comes in the form of ‘Higher Power.’ This track rhythmically sounds like it could have been produced by Kanye and feels like a very mature record, yet brilliant in all aspects. The slow, downtempo house style beat allows for Avelino to truly show off the level of wordplay he has, whilst keeping his flow pumping across the simplistic style of the track. SBTV said there are “Too many quotables to count” and that is exactly what this track. A rhythmic, thumping delivery of the talent that we can expect from Avelino. The video almost gives off ‘This Is America’ vibes by Childish Gambino, which arguably in many ways, points out the similarities in the two artists. A great track and a great watch.
