Proxy Combines Diversity And Swagger In ‘Collusion’ EP

by Steph Contant

AC Slater‘s Night Bass is at the forefront of pushing both established names and up-and-coming talents in the realm of house music. As 2019 comes to a close, the label looks to cap off their dominant year in style with Proxy‘s Collusion EP, a four-track beast that is the embodiment of the Night Bass sound.

‘Have Some Fun’ kicks things off in high gear and sees Proxy team up with the label-head himself to deliver a fun-filled track highlighted by a rolling bassline, snappy vocal samples and punchy percussion to get you grooving in the early hours of the evening. ‘No More’ alongside Armodine follows, where the energy and grittiness is elevated compared to the opening track to really unleash your inner shuffler, perfectly suited for the peak hours of the night. In ‘Fitness’ with The Paxmen, Proxy gets weird and wonky, delivering sinister basses and meaty sounds to bring you even deeper into the depths of the darkness, before ‘Poltora’ with DZA keeps the intensity alive with its rhythmic, hypnotizing aura.

Through four eclectic collaborations, Proxy has proven himself a worthy Night Bass resident. Don’t miss the Collusion EP below.
