Hybrid trap phenom Allen Mock has been a persistent efficacy of bass music throughout the course of 2019. Releasing an abundance of genre-resilient content ranging from his exceptional freeform rendition of tokey’s ‘High Breed’ to merciless collaborations with Chow Chow, The Infamous, Oski & Herbalistek, each which further depict the breadth of production knowledge and creative potential that the bright Tokyo-native possesses.
In salutation of his sophomore year, the two-track ARIGATOU EP is positioned as a synopsis of styles and a token of sincere reflection for the progress that Allen Mock has made since first starting the project.
“This EP is ultimately more of a genuine expression of gratitude to the listeners and supporters of my music that constantly share or stream my content, and even the name itself is derived from the Japanese phrase for ‘Thank You’,” Mock shares regarding some of the initial inspiration for releasing the two-part ensemble to close out the year.
“Both tracks represent a very original side of me, in the sense that, towards the end of the year I started to advance into a more free-flowing experimental style, exploring areas outside of my immediate comfort zone, and sort of subconsciously strayed away from creating the signature hybrid trap style that I’ve always loved,” he continues regarding the process of re-centering his focus after a short period of testing the waters in other styles.
Encapsulating an outstanding year of creative output, ARIGATOU is Allen Mock’s closing remarks to the year 2019. Check out the EP, out now below and be sure to grab your free download of the two tracks here!
