Night Bass Freshmen Vol 3 features five of the genre’s fastest rising stars through four electric tracks, and fans of gritty, bass-riddled house music are in for a real treat.
Kicking things off is Nostalgix, who is fresh off her OG Sins EP and is looking to ride her unparalleled momentum into 2020. ‘Mind Tricks’ is late-night anthem that pairs Way’s catchy vocals with a wobbly bassline that is as gnarly as it is groovy. ‘Dimension’ from Inkline follows, where a darker undertone is present throughout the UK garage-leaning track, without omitting a natural, danceable feel. Newcomer Drinks On Me comes next with ‘Planes,’ an infectious bop that provides a breath of fresh air to the compilation through its softer melodies and rhythmic nature. Finally, Honey & Badger and Makla cap things off with a bass house belter in a display of undeniable chemistry.
